An article named "Beautiful Footprints" shared the reflection of two sisters after preaching the gospel and nurturing believers in rural gatherings in the areas of Inner Mongolia. They come from a local church in Bayannur, a prefecture-level city in Western Inner Mongolia, according to the Church's WeChat platform.
The two sisters - Huang Haiyan and Zhang Gaizhi - both mentioned in the article that the rural believers are thirsty for God.
"I was moved so much. I saw that kind of thirst in the believers who waited there very early." Huang wrote at the start of the article.
Zhang, who often ministries in rural churches, also witnessed this, "What moved me more was that there were several elderly believers waiting at the door ahead of the time for the services every time I arrived at the church. They who have pure hearts that hunger for God are the examples I should imitate."
They added that the rural church co-workers who ride the electric motorcycles between the gatherings toil at the ministry were also inspiring. "They fight for the souls and life regardless of wind and rain."
"They put down their work and everything only to obey the Lord's command and please God." Besides these sacrifices, they shared the joy during the service at the rural gathering.
The article also talks about their reflections on their faith and ministries during preaching the gospel.
Zhang feels a debt is always forming in her when seeing the thirsty believers, "I didn't prepare for more time to help them or more love to sacrifice for them so that I owe them in many aspects. May God help me to prepare more time and more responsibilities for me to bear to help these people."
Huang reflects on that the fact that she didn't cherish her good pastors or co-workers for she often claimed she was "too busy with her own business to attend services" in the past.
"How could I take time and strive to give without the heart of loving the souls? To overcome and break through myself is essential in the life growing process. We often like to stay neither cold nor hot, holding that we really love the Lord and souls in self-righteousness. Actually we always love ourselves...", she wrote at the end of her essay, "Lord, help me grow deeper and deeper in the Lord to become a servant completely after God's will."
