A nine-member delegation from the Light and Salt Charity Service Center of the Longgang Municipal CC&TSPM in Zhejiang Province visited Longgang No. 2 Middle School to provide paired assistance to needy students.
During the event, Mr. Cao Guangshu, the principal of Longgang No. 2 Middle School, expressed his gratitude to the Light and Salt Charity Service Center for its ongoing support of disadvantaged students over the past three years. Elder Yang Jiehua, chairman of the municipal CC&TSPM, outlined the charity center's mission and encouraged the sponsored students to study diligently and remain grateful. As part of the event, the charity service center donated 65,000 yuan in scholarships to 23 needy students from the school, said the Longgang CC&TSPM.
Since its establishment in 2021, the Light and Salt Charity Service Center of the Longgang CC&TSPM has been actively engaged in social service. The center has built two churches to support the resettlement of ethnic minorities from Yunnan and provides an annual living allowance of 6,000 yuan for 40 full-time teachers in Yunnan and Guizhou provinces. In addition, the center offers financial assistance to local students in need and organizes visitations for the elderly with hardship.
