The Social Service Department of CCC&TSPM held the fifth workshop on the church's public health and safety in Dalian, Liaoning Province, from October 21 to 24, with the attendance of over 90 pastoral workers from Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning Provinces.
The four-day session covered key topics including national public health and safety laws and regulations, mental health and social support, healthy lifestyles, and emergency medical rescue. Various experienced professionals, such as legal experts, psychology professors, medical care specialists, and first aid trainers, were invited to deliver lectures through case studies, professional skills training, and practical exercises.
During the legal course, the lecturer enhanced participants' understanding of the national public health and safety laws through case analysis. The mental health and social support course focused on teaching professional counseling and support skills from a social work perspective. The healthy lifestyle course addressed various aspects such as diet, exercise, work-life balance, and mental well-being, with an emphasis on elderly care. The emergency medical rescue course equipped participants with essential first aid skills for emergencies such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and stroke through hands-on training.
