Nov 5 marks the Dedication Day of the new Nanshan Church in Shenzhen, Guangzhou.
Reviewing the Chrisitan history in Shenzhen, Shenzhen CCC&TSPM shares that a foreign missionary began to spread the Gospel in Nantou Ancient City in 1907. In 1980, the local believers founded a house gathering. A formal temporary gathering was registered until Dec 18, 2002. The congregation gathered in a rented factory. It was relocated in another factory in 2009.
In Dec. 2014, the church purchased a floor of an office building with an area of about 1431 m2, at a total cost of more than 36 million yuan. In that November, the new church was put into use. Until the first half year of 2016, 2646 people were baptized here.
Currently, it holds services and fellowships both in English and Chinese. It has featured ministries in marriage, families and psychological counseling and also conducts camps for elders above 60, calligraphy classes, photography fellowships and praise meetings.
