Recently CCC&TSPM launches the online Bible of the Revised Chinese Union Version (RCUV) and the Chinese Union Version with New Punctuation (CUVNP).Readers can get access to them at bible.ccctspm.org.
The released versions have three languages, traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese and English. Besides providing online Bible reading, the website has the function of offering theme verses, audio Bible and keyword search.
In 1988, the United Bible Societies published CUVNP after the revision of the diction, punctuation and paragraphs from CUV because the punctuation and the layout of the text of CUV were too old-fashioned, different from the current Chinese grammar.
Starting in 1983, about 30 Bible scholars participated in the revision of the CUV, under the principle of keeping the original translation as much as possible and amending intricate and obscure speech into modern language. The revision took 27 years long and was completed in 2010. Hong Kong Bible Society held the consecration of this version on September 27, 2010.
