On Oct 17-19, 2016, Huangzhai Fellowship of Yangqu County, Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province hosted its dedication ceremony. The church started renovation and expansion work in April 2011 and had been postponing the interior decoration due to a financial shortage. It was finally ready for dedication after five years.
Yangqu County is located in the far north of Taiyuan and is a poverty-stricken county. The Gospel was introduced in the county around 2000. At first, they worshiped in a believer's house. Starting in 2015, Taiyuan Church has been sending preachers for regular pastoring and the number of believers has gradually grown to more than 30.
According to a journal on the website of Taiyuan Christian Church, the dedication ceremony was presided over by Pastor Wang Chenxing, vice-chairman and secretary-general of Taiyuan CCC&TSPM. Pastor Zhang Enlai, chairman and president of the city's CCC&TSPM gave a sermon. More than 500 people attended the ceremony.
In 2008, with the support and help of Taiyuan CCC&TSPM, the fellowship bought a yard in Nanyuanzi, Huangzhai, Yangqu County as a gathering venue. In April 2011, the renovation and expansion work began due to the safety concern of the one-story house of the fellowship, and it was finished in November the same year. However, they didn't finish the interior decoration with the limited fund. With the donation and support of believers, the fellowship was finally able to have the dedication in 2016.
