Over 70 brothers and sisters from Shenzai (meaning God is With Us) Christian Church in Yangzhou City recently brought more than 20 children to have a fun day at the park.
These children, with mental or physical disabilities, were from the Love Sunshine Care Center in Guangling District, Yangzhou. Other organizations also joined the trip of love. The local Public Transport No.3 Company donated the use of three coach buses from their line and sent volunteers from the company to assist. The leaders of the park granted the group free admission. Finally, there were also donations from Christian entrepreneurs.
Two or three people teamed up to care for each child, holding them and ensuring their safety as they roamed around the park. Some children were very excited and kept singing and clapping on the bus on the way to the park. They sang two songs in sign language. There are over 30 children with mental and physical disabilities at the care center. Because of their own limitations, they can’t go out to play very often like other normal children.
