Below is the testimony from Brother L who experiences God in the workplace:

My father was the first Christian in my family. Having experienced God, he preached the Gospel to his parents. I was a third-generation Christian who believes in God but had never experienced him until I grow up. Since my friends don't believe that there is God, I was uncertain of God's existence.

I lived a free yet gloomy life in high school. I almost abandoned my studies, afraid to seek the help of God, for I thought that the righteous God couldn't make my academic performance better after prayer since I didn't love to study.

I didn't go to college after graduating from high school. At that time I earned an electrician's certificate, starting to find a job. I thought that God would definitely help me as long as I tried to attend job interviews and prayed every day during that month. However, it turned out that I was still unemployed after one-month job hunting. Feeling frustrated, I began to doubt whether there was a God and whether He loved me.

One evening I pondered over the questions while reading the Bible, giving way to tears in emotional upset. Did God not love me? Why didn't He hear my prayer? At that moment I was like an orphan forsaken by God, full of powerless frustration. However, another voice from my heart said to me: "Now that your family members all believe in God and experience so many miracles, is there really no God?" It's impossible to say no.

I happened to turn to a page in James in the Bible placed beside my pillow. I saw the verses: "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." (James 1:2-4) The verses struck my heart and it dawned on me that I should continue to look for a job until God fulfilled my prayer, since I had already endured for a month.

I became joyful again with such hope, feeling as if I had regained the drive to find work. As a result, a company told me to come for an interview. The interview went very well. In the interview a manager gave me some questions on circuit diagrams and I answered half of the questions correctly. He took me to see an electric control box and asked me what the name of a part was. I hadn't seen that part before and didn't have hands-on experience in it. Panicking, I prayed silently while staring at the box carefully. Several small characters were found to be engraved on it -- "Time Relay". I immediately said the name to the manager. He replied immediately, "Then you can come to work tomorrow!" Astonished, I finally felt relieved.

He informed me of my work duties. When I left the company I couldn't help shedding tears. It was the first time that I was so moved and happy. For me, it was not just about giving me a job, but more importantly, about how God directly led me. I had a yearning for God to guide my life, but I had never experienced God in my life. Through the interview, God showed me His faithful work and that He wanted to be my friend. The thing that might be nothing to others touched and moved me greatly.

Many problems will be solved when God intervenes in our lives.

From doubting the existence of God to living by holding on to God, I know God more deeply after experiencing this. I start to learn to commit my life to God and let Him dominate my life.

Recalling the days working in that company, I find that I experienced so many things and that my relationship with Him became ever closer. I truly realized my weakness and incapability, and that people cling tight onto God and seek His help until they are desperate. Many problems will be solved when God intervenes in our lives.

Now I have left that company. Although I went through ups and downs in that job, my relationship with God has been closer rather than more distant. I'm honored and have peace to walk on the long road of life with God who is my company and bosom friend.
