On August 23, 2017, Jin Changjian, secretary of the Fuzhou TSPM of Jiangxi and a preacher-in-residence of Fuzhou Xiugu Church, visited a fourteen-year-old orphan, bringing some funds and a schoolbag to her.
Losing her parents, Yu Zhilan lives with her grandmother who is nearly 80. She will enter middle school after graduation from primary school with excellent academic performance. However, without a source of income they live on subsistence allowances.
Knowing her situation, Jin became her donor partner. He encouraged her to study hard and to pay back society after growing up, saying that she was not an orphan since Jesus was with her.
