On February 5 to 6, 2018, a special campaign launched by young Christians went viral in communities and gardens of Suzhou, in China's eastern Anhui province.

Earlier Rev. Huang Xingping, deputy director of Suzhou Gospel Church, proposed that Christians send Spring Festival couplets, called Chunlian in Chinese, to local residents.

In response, the church's Christians offered free paper, brushes, and desks and invited professional and amateur calligraphers to write couplets consisting of a pair of poetry lines. Many people joined in the activity. The calligraphers also taught calligraphy techniques and assisted people to write couplets. The content contained heavenly blessings, love, joy, and socialist core values.

The couplets were distributed to nearby communities, neighbors, or friends along with gifts like reusable tote bags.
