On September 7, 2018, a 40-strong team from a church in Sabah, Malaysia, visited the Nanjing-based Amity Printing Company, the world's largest Bible factory. It was accompanied by Ke Weisheng, director of the United Bible Society China Partnership (UBS CP).
The guests visited the production workshop and knew the detailed production process, according to the WeChat account of the Amity Foundation. It was their first time to see the entire process of making the Bible.
Liu Lei, the CEO of APC, answered questions about the publication procedure of the Chinese Bible and the dialect versions.
He gave a book named The Photo Album of the Chinese Church to Bishop Yong Chen Fah who said he would place it in his church building. He blessed the Bible ministry to be flourished.
As the world's largest Bible printer, the Amity Printing Company has produced over 170 million Bible copies in more than 100 languages and exported them to over 100 countries. It has printed about 80 million Bibles for the Chinese church, including in 11 ethnic minority scripts and Braille. Established in 1988, it is a joint venture between the Amity Foundation and the United Bible Societies. In 1987, the first bible came off the production line in Nanjing. The Sino-foreign joint venture had printed 500,000 bibles until August 1988. It reached 100 million Bibles on Nov 8, 2012.
The group also visited the CCC&TSPM on Sept 5, 2018, according to CCC&TSPM.
