The annual revenue of the Amity Foundation hit an all-time high of over 270 million yuan in 2017, including online donations that totaled about 160 million yuan, higher than ever before, said the foundation in a new year's greeting letter.
Amity listed its development highlights covering thirteen aspects like church social service, Bible printing, disaster management and community development, health care, and poverty alleviation.
The Christian-based organization has been promoting cooperation with local CCC&TSPMs and churches. It focuses on the establishment of special funds and projects with churches as well as traditional projects like ministries for the disabled and environmental care.
In cooperation with churches, Amity operated social service programs in twenty provinces and benefited over ten thousand people.
By 2017, it produced more than 171 million Bibles printed in over 100 languages, over half of which were for overseas churches.
In the past year, it carried out disaster rescue in Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Jiuzhaigou, and South China, providing emergency services to around 110,000 people. It also launched nearly ten large-scale poverty reduction projects in rural west China. In early 2017, the foundation assisted the Jiangsu bureau of religious affairs to organize the provincial-level groups of China's five major religions to do poverty alleviation research in Sandu County, Guizhou. An investment of 6 million yuan would be put in several aiding programs.
As of 2017, the "10,000 actions" program that financially aided orphans received online donations that exceeded 171 million yuan.
By November 2017, the amount of money raised over the Internet reached more than 300 million yuan in the previous 11 years.
