Jilin Church Launches Parenting Ministry

On March 19, 2019, a church in Changchun, Jilin province established a children's education ministry, according to the China Christian Council (CCC) and Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM). 

The  "Soaring Eagle Education Ministry" serves the believers of the Kaixuan Church in Kuancheng District free of charge by providing additional ideas for educating children to promote parents' responsibility and sense of purpose in parenting. 

Zhou Xingting, the head of the ministry, said it is aimed at transforming parents' concepts in raising their children and helping them acquire parenting skills. 

The first training program for teachers kicked off and five classes of "English Classroom for Mothers" were also held. 

Mothers who participated in the first "English classroom" said that they realized the responsibility of educating children. Parents should be good teachers and worthy friends to their children's and should not only support them financially but also help them form good character.
