On April 18, 2019, Qiu Zhonghui, the chairman of Amity Foundation and Amity Printing, and Michael Perreau, the general secretary of the United Bible Society (UBS), signed a 10-year extension of joint venture corporation and a memorandum of understanding.
According to the WeChat account, "Amity Printing", Ling Chunxiang, the general secretary of Amity Foundation and vice chairman of Amity Printing presided over the signing ceremony. During the opening remark, she reviewed how the Amity Printing, a joint venture by Amity Foundation and UBS since 1988, had developed into a modern high-tech company that printed the most copies of Bible in the world.
Then Michael Perreau and Qiu Zhonghui made speeches respectively. Michael Perreau said that predecessors had set the great vision and dream and three factors of the dream were loyalty, dedication and selflessness, which were the reason why the world's Bible printing base could print 190 million copies of Bible for Christians from China as well as elsewhere in the world.
Qiu Zhonghui said that Bishop K.H.Ting 's dream of printing Bible for Chinese compatriots brought about the Agreement of Jointly Establishing Amity Printing signed by representatives of the Amity Foundation and UBS in Nanjing, Jiangsu, and started the career of printing Bible in mainland China. Qiu pointed out that Amity Printing was the bridge between the east and west, from which more and more overseas clients learned China's policy of freedom of belief and the reality of Christianity in China; and the good running of the company had set a good example of sustainable development of international cooperation as well as private charity benefiting the society by investing entity enterprise.
In the signing ceremony, Lam Ching Choi, a council member of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and board member of Amity Printing, gave Amity Printing a special gift, a Bile with signature of Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet Ngor, the Chief Executive of HKSAR.
