Recently a delegation from Shanghai sent financial funds to a poor minority county in China's southwestern Guizhou Province.
According to Shanghai CC&TSPM, the team included Rev. Xu Yulan, chairman of Shanghai Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) and a topic official of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Ethnic and Religious Affairs. They traveled to two mountainous towns in Daozhen Gelao and Miao Autonomous County of Zunyi. A total of more than 230,000 yuan for poverty alleviation was given to 47 poor households.
The trip was one of the efforts made by Shanghai Christian Council & TSPM with the promise that the organizations would help with poverty elimination in the two minority towns this year.
