On September 8, the churches of Xiangshui County, in China's coastal-eastern Jiangsu Province, issued a notice that 10 churches had been approved to resume church services five days later.
The notice said that 10 churches, including Chengxi, County, Xiaojian, Xiaoxu, Dayou, Tiaochong, Chengang, Wangshang, Shuguang, and Lao She met the criteria for opening of the religious venues established by the county Religious Affairs Bureau. This was done in compliance with pandemic requirements. Government departments agreed that services could resume beginning on September 13. Believers need to register to attend services in these churches.
Since January 24, 2020, due to government requirements, all the churches in Xiangshui County have suspended worship services. During the pandemic period, they had donated more than 300,000 yuan to the worst-hit cities through the Amity Foundation.
Believers can find information from the church to know the time of worship, the requirements for entering the church, and how to register to attend a service.
