Last Sunday, a church in Wenzhou, China’s eastern coastal Zhejiang Province, held a meeting of the watchmen and a three-anniversary thanksgiving service of the prayer group for the reconstruction of the church.
According to Zhu’en Church in Longgang, as the sanctuary couldn’t accommodate the growing number of churchgoers, they went up to the mountains to bring down timber to rebuild the temple. A prayer group was set up in the first week of March 2018, while the first pile of foundation was laid down on June 5 of that year.
For three years, believers have always stood on the watchtower, praying to support all aspects of the construction which went smoothly without the slightest accident. Time and again, through prayers, they overcame Satanic and human attacks. On February 9, the church passed the completion acceptance inspection.
Now in the interior decoration phase, the sanctuary is expected to be completed and put into use before Christmas in 2021.
During the service, Elder Yang Jiehua encouraged the 276 faithful who participated in the watch prayer in 2021 to shoulder their mission and understand their positions and responsibilities with the attitude of Christ Jesus. He urged them to take the church as their home and stand on the watchtower to constantly pray for the church.
