A Liaoyang church in Liaoning kicked off an orientation thanksgiving service for two elders last Wednesday.
In the ceremony held in Lighthouse Church on Sept 22, the day after the Mid-Autumn Festival which falls on Sept 21, Rev. Wang Runtao, president of Liaoyang Municipal Christian Council, led the congregation in reading Psalm 23, saying the presence of God was true peace. He urged the church members to always be happy, be harmonious with family members, share the gospel, and live for God.
Built in 2007, the church has a floor area of 720 square meters (0.178 acres) in the sanctuary and a total construction area of 3,300 square meters (0.815 acres), with 800 believers.
