Two Hunan churches in Changsha City resumed in-person gatherings in early November, and one organized a group of volunteers to help with nucleic acid testing in late October.
On November 4, the resumption of three Sunday services and weekly gatherings (including a catechism class) were announced, starting from the following day, with the meeting schedule in the announcement also.
The next day, Chengbei Church stated its reopening and the continuation of three in-person services on Sunday from that day onwards, following the local coronavirus pandemic guidelines, after five months of roof repairs and exterior renovation.
On October 28, Chengbei Church organized a group of its members to help the community staff and medical workers carry out nucleic acid tests in the testing site of Xiangya Road in Kaifu District. Besides the temperature measurement, health code check, and information registration, they maintained the order and answered questions to the crowd, helping the elderly who struggled to operate their smartphones to get health code, according to the church.
