A Christian volunteer service center in Fujian hosted a celebration for the tenth anniversary.
On November 22, 145 participants including volunteers from the Xiamen Ren’ai Love Service Center and people from all walks of life gathered in Gulangyu, Xiamen.
The activity kicked off with a staff worker named Shen Ruoyun sharing touching stories since the establishment of the center.
Subsequently, Shen reported on the current development status of the center from the three aspects of "system construction and talent training", "volunteer recruitment, nurturing, and motivation", and "continuous ministry".
Then, a lady surnamed Cai, the initiator of the charitable ministry, shared her personal words and encouraged attendees to keep on loving others with the words "brave and humble".
After the sharing, the center awarded the "Ten Year Volunteers" and "2021 Outstanding Volunteers" to some volunteers.
Established in 2011, the center has served nearly 350 elders on spiritual companionship, home service, and hospice care, and helped more than 580 children with character education, learning habits formation, and life skills learning. In addition to training nearly 200 volunteers, 70 "Time Bank" volunteers, and 75 college student volunteers, it has participated in social welfare activities more than 50 times, including preparing New Year’s Eve dinner, visiting leprosy village, and fighting against COVID-19 in Hubei and Tongan District of Xiamen City.
