A church in East China's Jiangsu Province obtained an Internet Religious Information Service License, which enables it to publish online religious content.
Wuxi Christian Church was awarded the "Internet Religious Information Service License" issued by the Jiangsu Provincial Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission on July 22, being the first church in Wuxi to receive this license the church said.
The Administrative Measures for Internet Religious Information Services issued on December 3, 2021, came into effect on March 1, 2022. Wuxi Church submitted the application on March 8 to the provincial ethnic and religious affairs commission, appointing Zhang Leikang as the Internet religious information reviewer to self-study related religious policies and regulations. Zhang went to Nanjing to take the information reviewer exam organized by the Provincial Ethnic and Religious Committee and passed the exam on June 13. Accepting the church's application on July 19, the provincial ethnic and religious committee, approved the church's application, issuing the license to it three days later.
