A church in a mountainous area of Northeast China's Liaoning Province held an autumn harvest Thanksgiving event last Saturday, which begins with the Cold Dew of the 24 solar terms, and lasts until November.
On October 8th, believers in the Tiger Village Church of the Tanggangzi Town, Qianshan District, Anshan City sang hymns such as "Harvest Song" and "Bringing in the Sheaves".
Then, the 82-year-old preacher Sister Wang Furong who began to preach in Anshan after the re-gathering of the church in 1984 went to the platform. According to Acts 14:17, she witnessed with the title of "The Meaning of the Autumn Harvest Thanksgiving", sharing with the believers "the origin of Thanksgiving Day", “the content of Thanksgiving", and "Men's Destined Home".
After the sermon, an 81-year-old brother praised the Lord's grace and healing in the form of Tianjin bamboo clappers. He grew up in Sunday school as a child and followed his mother's faith in Lord for decades. He got gastric cancer in April this year. During his hospitalization, he kept reading the Bible, praying, and praising every day. He not only had a safe operation but also was recovering gradually. He testified to the Lord with his own illness.
After the choir performed the hymns, the Tiger Village Church began the 2022 Autumn Harvest Thanksgiving Ceremony. The pastors of the church and the believers in each group, fellowship, and meeting place presented twenty programs, such as dancing, chorus, and bamboo clappers.
Brother Bai Dianfu, 82 years old, from the church of Datun Town, took to the stage and played "Fellow Traveller" with a cucurbit flute.
Finally, Pastor Wu Shuai, other preachers, and deacons performed the play "Who Cares for the Lord’s Heart" which they wrote and directed by themselves. The play told a true story, in which some serving believers were originally passionate, later left the church and then no longer served, but in the end, confessed after the prayer of old preachers and returned to the church.
In today's praise meeting, two sisters received their calling. The church also distributed souvenirs to believers over 70 years old.
