The National CCC&TSPM issued a notice to solicit paintings before this year’s Bible Day, with the theme of "To Draw the Bible Out".
On October 18, the Biblical Ministry Committee of the National CC&TSPM issued a notice that CCC&TSPM will collect paintings that are required to show biblical stories or Christian culture in the form of traditional Chinese paintings. At the same time, it mentioned that a series of activities such as Bible-themed painting exhibitions and book fairs will be held, hoping to remind churches across the country of the Bible Day which falls on the second Sunday (including Saturday) in December every year since the early 1990s. The Bible Ministry Committee calls on churches across the country, especially believers in more developed coastal areas, to contribute to support the Bible ministry, according to CCC&TSPM.
The notice stated that the forms of painting works are freehand brushwork, fine brushwork, splashing ink, line drawing, boneless, etc.; the forms of expression include collective creation, individual creation, copying, using rice paper, silk, etc. as the carrier, and expressed in scrolls, fans, and albums can be. The submission period is open from October 18 until December 1.
The "Bible Day" of the Chinese Church is to awaken the majority of Chinese Christians to attach importance to Bible reading, pay attention to support the Bible ministry, and also care for the biblical needs of impoverished areas. Relevant activities, such as holding Bible-themed services, seminars on theology or the Bible, exhibitions of Bible paintings and calligraphy, theme concerts, prayer meetings, and special offerings are conducted accordingly.
