A church in Fujian Province, China’s southeastern coast, celebrated the 120th anniversary of the establishment of the church and the 100th anniversary of the dedication of the church building.
A celebration was hosted for Xiangshan Church in Xiuyu District, Putian City on December 12, according to Xiuyu District CC&TSPM.
During the service, Rev. Lin Libin, president of Xiuyu District CC&TSPM, gave a sermon titled "Look Ahead Into Future and Back into Past", citing Psalm 143:5 and Hebrews 12:1. Rev. Lin encouraged church members to remember the deeds of God and those who had labored for the Lord, as well as to look ahead to shoulder the mission.
Later, Rev. Huang Guoqing, chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Xiuyu District CC&TSPM, delivered a speech on behalf of the 12 serving pastors, expressing their gratitude to the parent church for its training and support. Rev. Lin Lili spoke on behalf of 25 previous pastors, saying that it was a wonderful thing to be able to pastor in Xiangshan Church.
