The staff of a church in Zhejiang Province, on the southeast coast of China, visited the Memorial Hall of T.C. Chao.
On the morning of April 21, a group of 38 pastoral fellow workers from Jiaojiang Church went to visit T.C. Chao Memorial Hall in Xinshi Church in Deqing County, Huzhou City, and communicated with the local church about the sinicization of Christianity, according to Jiaojiang Church. T.C. Zhao was one of the leading Protestant theologians and served as the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Soochow University.
The director of Jiaojiang Church shared, “Through visiting and communication, our staff workers know more clearly that the sinicization of Christianity had already begun before our country’s liberation movement, and all its practices now are the continuation of the predecessors. Let us truly understand the sinicization of Christianity, and the gospel’s development is inevitable on the soil of China. As pastoral workers in the new era, we must learn from Mr. Chao to persist in the true faith, bear the love of Jesus Christ deeply in us, integrate it into society, glorify God, and edify people.”
Recently, members of Jinshan District CC&TSPM, church leaders, and believers in the district of Shanghai, also paid a visit to Xinshi Church and its memorial hall for the influential theologian, reported Shanghai CC&TSPM.
