Raoping County CC&TSPM, situated in Chaozhou, Guangdong, southeast China, recently dedicated its new building.
The plaque unveiling ceremony, which took place on April 29, was presided over by Rev. Wu Junbin, who is currently serving as the vice president and executive associate general secretary of the Raoping County Christian Council (CC).
During the dedication service held at the Shangfu Mount Church in Chaozhou City, Rev. Xu Jieping, who holds the positions of executive vice chairman of Guangdong TSPM and the president of Guangdong Union Theological College, delivered a sermon titled "Building Roots and Growing in Christ." He encouraged attendees to view the completion of the new building as an opportunity to enrich their spiritual growth in Christ, advance church growth, bear witness, and bring glory to God.
At present, there are 35 church locations with almost ten thousand believers in Chaozhou. Since the establishment of the county CC&TSPM forty years ago, the lack of fixed office space and funding has been a major obstacle to the development of the ministries of the local CC&TSPM. However, with the completion of the new venue, it is expected that the county CC&TSPM will be able to manage its team and serve grassroots churches better while easing the difficulties faced by local church locations and pastoral staff.
