A megachurch in Jiangsu held the third-season group leader retreat in 2023 with the aim of equipping staff workers and instructing them on group leadership.
There were over 70 backbone staff members present at this workshop held in Shishan Church, Suzhou, on September 10, according to Suzhou CC&TSPM.
After Rev. Liu Zhiguo led the opening prayer during the retreat, there was a Q&A session and a training course on religious knowledge. The Q&A was infused with the history of the church and sinicization in the interpretation of scriptures, addressing the staff's need for more comprehensive religious knowledge.
A male believer hosted the training course themed “Reconsider the Gospel and Mission," encouraging staff workers to shoulder the responsibility of the Great Mission and to be effective messengers of the gospel.
In his closing remarks, Rev. Liu Yingjie urged the attendees to be good team leaders and addressed the responsibility of each staff member to prevent infiltration and anti-cultism.
