Nanjing Municipal CC&TSPM in Jiangsu Province organized the plaque unveiling ceremony for the municipal sinicization of Christianity research center, which was hosted by Rev. Xu Xiaohong, chairman of the National Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) Committee.

In the inaugural ceremony, about 283 young pastoral staff and church (or meeting point) leaders participated on September 5, according to Nanjing CC&TSPM.

The purpose of the establishment of this research center was to promote the integration of Christianity with Chinese traditional culture, with a dedication to collecting and organizing the materials of theological thought study, doctrinal interpretation, history, and figures of patriotism and faithfulness within Christianity. Moreover, theories can be concluded through probing into the patterns, pathways, and methods employed by Christian groups in legal and democratic governance.

Comprised of specialists and scholars who research Christianity in Nanjing's higher education institutions, as well as individuals from the Protestant community with relevant expertise, this research center will initiate ongoing research workshops and exchanges from time to time.
