A church in Fujian held a National Day celebration, dedicating new main buildings.
On October 3, Chengguan Church in Putian City celebrated the 74th National Day and the completion of new buildings, according to Fujian TSPM. The celebration was attended by more than 1,000 participants, including pastoral workers and believers from the provincial, municipal, and district CC&TSPMs.
Yu Dong, vice chairman of Putian TSPM and pastor of Chengguan Church, gave an account of the history of the church and how it was built up.
Rev. Yue Qinghua, chairman of Fujian TSPM and president of Fujian Theological Seminary, and Zhang Jinmu, president of the Putian Christian Council (CC), delivered speeches for the celebration. They congratulated the completion of the new church buildings and recognized the achievements of the church for it strict governance and standardized management. At the same time, they also put forward requirements for the future work of the church.
At this ceremony, the choir from Putian CC&TSPM, the traditional orchestra of Putian Church, and the Hosana Choir of Chengguan Church performed hymns, such as "God bless China."
Finally, the congregation sang the song “Bless Our Country, O Lord God” in unison.
