A church in Guangxi held a ceremony to celebrate the dedication of a new church.
On November 18, about 1,000 pastors and co-workers from 44 churches in various prefecture-level and county-level cities in Guangxi Province attended the consecration ceremony and dedication of the new building of Qinzhou Church..
Rev. Wang Conglian, chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region TSPM, presided over the worship, offering prayers for the "Cross Opening Ceremony" and the "Pulpit Opening," respectively.
Then, Rev. Bao Yanzhen of Qinzhou Christian Church preached a sermon titled "Glory of the New Church" and quoted Exodus 40:34–35 and 1 Kings 8:10–11.
First of all, Pastor Bao shared the glory of the new church, whether it was the Tabernacle of Moses or the Temple of Solomon. Although there are many differences in external forms, they are common in that the glory of God is full of them. "Cherish this glory, lest you lose your testimony," urged Pastor Bao. Then she told the story of building the church from three aspects: "God's instructions", "God's presence" and "co-workers together with one heart and one mind".
During the dedication ceremony, the attendants listened to the construction report by Elder Mo Peibing and watched the church building video.
After the ceremony, the Qinzhou church and the choir and dance teams of other counties and cities presented songs and dances.
Founded in 1906 and rebuilt in June 1991, the church has a history of more than 100 years. During 2005–2016, it won the titles of "Five Good" religious activity venue in Qinzhou City and "Advanced Collective" in the Third National Construction of Harmonious Temples and Churches. With the increase in gathering attendants and the dilapidated building, the church began to apply for land relocation in 2012 and raised funds to purchase land in 2013. The church obtained 0.57 acres (2334.5 square meters) of land allocated by the municipal government in October 2018, started construction in March 2020, and completed it in November 2022.
