To promote cooperation with grassroots churches and strengthen the integration of teaching and practice, an inauguration ceremony for the Internship Site of Nanjing Union Theological Seminary (NJUTS) took place at the biggest Protestant church in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province.
According to the seminary, on November 25, Rev. Guo Yun, senior pastor of Tianhe Church in Guangzhou, presided over the plaque unveiling ceremony. Then, Rev. Chen Yilu, executive vice president of the seminary, delivered a speech. He first introduced the basic situation, teaching staff, and curriculum of the NJUTS. He also remarked that establishing an internship site in Guangzhou will be conducive to resource sharing and complementary advantages between the two parties in talent nurturing and church practice, which provides the students with opportunities for practice and achieves the integration of theory and practice.
Subsequently, Rev. Gao Feng, president of the NJUTS, and Pastors Guo and Chen jointly unveiled the “Nanjing Union Theological Seminary Internship Site,” marking the start of cooperation between the two parties.
