Two ordination ceremonies took place at churches in Guangdong and Hubei provinces.
Pastorate from Guangdong CC&TSPM ordained four staff workers as pastors at Dongmen Church in Meixian District, Meizhou City, on November 24, reported the provincial CC&TSPM.
Rev. Lin En‘ling, secretary general and general secretary of Guangdong CC&TSPM, preached a sermon titled “Be Good Shepherds at the Will of God,” exhorting the to-be ordained to pastor the congregation for the Lord willingly and set good examples.
At the junction of Fujian, Guangdong, and Jiangxi provinces, Meizhou City is located in the Hakka Mountains in the northeastern part of Guangdong. The ordination of four pastors relieved the pressures of pastoral ministry in the churches of the Hakka mountainous areas.
According to Hubei Provincial CC&TSPM, on November 26, an ordination ceremony for 13 church staff was held at Suizhou Church, including ten as pastors and three as elders.
Rev. Hu Kaiming, president of the Hubei Christian Council (CC), delivered a themed sermon, “The Loads of Shepherds,” with the encouragement for the newly ordained to be well-prepared for the Lord always, be good shepherds as Jesus, and be faithful stewards.
