A church in Fujian Province held a gathering with migrant workers and entrepreneurs to mark the Chinese New Year.

On February 12, the third day of the lunar new year, Yongding District Church celebrated the festival with believers from Yongding who work remotely from their homes and some entrepreneurs at an unfinished tulou church (tulou is a Hakka-style rural earth building in an enclosed rectangular or circular configuration in the mountains of southeastern Fujian, China) in Hukeng Township, Yongding District.

Rev. Zheng Rujian briefed on the construction process of the earth building with the nearly 50 attendees, addressing that, with the support of the neighboring churches in Fuzhou, Xiamen, and Zhangzhou cities, this tulou building has completed the exterior decoration and the decoration of the chapel on the first floor. The second and third floors have not been decorated due to the impact of the pandemic and the fact that all funds have yet to be collected. Eight rooms on the second floor will be furnished as reception rooms for believers, and the third floor will be used as a venue for various fellowship activities in the church following the decorations.
