In Zhejiang Province, two pastors were ordained and 27 deacons were appointed during a spring retreat at a church in Yiwu City, an international trade hub.
In the spiritual conference held at Chengnan Church from February 27 to 29, President Zhang Yaofa of Zhejiang Christian Council (CC), Senior Pastor Zhang Yaobo of Centennial Church in Ningbo City, and Dr. Xu Xinjian from Nanjing Union Theological Seminary were invited to give sermons during the event, said Yiwu CC&TSPM.
On February 28, Zhejiang CC&TSPM and Yiwu CC&TSPM held an ordination and commissioning ceremony. Rev. Chen Zhihua, the vice president and general secretary of Zhejiang CC, preached on "Engaged in Intense Service" during the ordination ceremony that Rev. Zhang Yaofa hosted.
In the commissioning ceremony, Rev. Bao Weicheng, president of Yiwu CC, ordained Zhu Qingwen and Ruan Xiuzhen as pastors and appointed 27 believers as deacons, with words of encouragement from Rev. Xu Yaojin, vice chairman of Zhejiang TSPM and chairman of Yiwu TSPM, .
