Rev. Hanns Hoerschelmann, executive director of Mission One World led a three-person delegation to visit the China Christian Council and the Three-Self Patriotic Movement (CCC&TSPM).
According to CCC&TSPM, Prof. Andreas Nehring, the council president of Mission One World, introduced the organization and shared the challenges faced by churches, such as the declining numbers of believers to the Chinese side on April 24. In addition, he also expressed his desire to deepen exchange and cooperation with the Chinese Church in the future. Members of the delegation also asked questions about the statistics of Christians in China and seminary curriculum, which were answered by Rev. Wu Wei, president of the CCC, and Rev. Lin Manhong, vice president and general secretary of the CCC.
Before that day, the delegation visited the Nanjing Union Theological Seminary.
Rev. Chen Yilu, executive vice president of the seminary, introduced the history of the seminary, its current operation, and its ministry in the cultivation of high-quality Christian talents.
Mr. Hanns Hoerschelmann expressed that Mission One World cherishes the relationship with the seminary, expecting more cooperation and exchanges in the future. The delegates also communicated with the students and faculty on the development of theological education and faculty construction.
