On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Shanghai Charity Foundation, Elder Jianhua Wang, the director of the Yangpu CC&TSPM, was awarded the Charity Star’s Individual Award in Shanghai.
The 11th Shanghai Charity Star Awards Event, organized by the Shanghai Charity Foundation on May 7, aimed to select groups and individuals who had made outstanding contributions to the development of Shanghai charity from July 2021 to June 2023, said Shanghai CC&TSPM.
Under the advocacy of Elder Wang, Yangpu CC&TSPM established the "Source of Love" Charity Station in October 2018, providing free materials and relaxing services through music to disadvantaged groups in the community, and undertaking government-commissioned projects. This relaxing music project has been awarded the title of "Excellent Charity Project" of the Shanghai Red Cross Society for several times.
