On January 31, 2018, a music program aimed to help patients reduce mental stress was awarded one of the "outstanding volunteer programs" by the Shanghai branch of the Red Cross Society of China.
The program was sponsored by the "Source of Love" Charity Station affiliated with the CC&TSPM of Yangpu District, Shanghai.
Believers from East Shanghai Church play music to help patients and doctors relieve tension and psychological pressure and establish a benign interaction between doctors and patients.
Last year, a few small-sized concerts achieved good effects in building the patient-doctor relationship. One doctor said that he was moved to tears by the piece "Amazing Grace."
Elder Wang Jianhua, director of the Yangpu District CC&TSPM, claimed that the program would have to walk on a long road ahead. Christians should walk out of the church and show their faith with wisdom outside the church.
