A celebration activity was hosted for a church in Guangdong, which has reopened for one year.

Over 200 people were present at the event conducted for Wanshan Church in Guangzhou on June 2, said Guangzhou CC&TSPM.

Rev. Miao Cunda, senior pastor of the church, delivered a sermon titled "Remembering the Past with Gratitude," expressing gratitude for the Lord's protection and guidance over the past year. He encouraged church members to follow in the Lord's footsteps with the abundant provisions given and emulate the example of the Lord relying on His grace.

It is said that the church was completed in 1926, and gatherings were stopped after 1959, when some churches in Guangzhou emerged into one. To restore this activity site, Guangzhou CC&TSPM launched a restoration plan in 2009, carrying out renovation works. In May last year, it obtained the Certificate of Registration for a Venue for Religious Activity and reinstated its functions as a religious activity site.
