A meeting point in Shaanxi Province has organized flood relief efforts after damage caused by serious landslides.
According to Shaanxi CC&TSPM, on August 8, Zhidan County in Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province, was hit by a sudden heavy rainfall, which caused landslides. The communication, transportation, electricity, and water infrastructure in most parts of the county were severely devastated, with many houses collapsing, leading to significant property losses for the residents. In response, the Qiaogou gathering site in the county mobilized its members to participate in flood relief activities.
Elder Zhao Xiuzhen, the leader of the meeting point, led the group in delivering over 100 kilograms of watermelon, along with meals including stewed dishes, lamb offal, rice, and steamed buns, to more than 200 rescue workers fighting on the front lines. The total cost of this food exceeded 3,000 yuan.
The gathering site continues to keep a watchful eye on the disaster relief situation and is committed to supporting the affected residents in rebuilding their homes.
