Coinciding with the 74th anniversary of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement, the Nanjing Sinicized Christianity Exhibition Hall, organized and built by Nanjing CC&TSPM, was unveiled to the public.
Conducted at the Church of the Holy Word in Nanjing, the ceremony was hosted by Rev. Kan Renping, chairman of Nanjing TSPM, who delivered a speech, reported CCC&TSPM.
To ensure the opening of the hall, Nanjing CC&TSPM spent more than a year and a half on everything from planning the draft, writing the text, and collecting and organizing historical materials, to the final layout and display of the exhibition space. The hall showcases the nearly 160-year history since Christianity was introduced to Nanjing. Generally speaking, Nanjing Christianity transformed from being a "foreign religion" to one that embraced national consciousness, took the lead in the anti-imperialist patriotic movement, and broke free from Western colonial control, embarking on the path of independently running its own churches.
