Chongqing CC&TSPM organized a training session for sacred music service staff from churches throughout the city to enhance the development and innovation of the sacred music ministry.
According to CCC&TSPM, from October 7 to 12, Chongqing CC&TSPM conducted a six-day training course in choral and piano conducting at its training center for members involved in the sacred music ministry across the city, seeing the attendance of over 60 members from various churches.
At the opening ceremony, Rev. Xu Lunsheng, chairperson of the municipal TSPM, urged the students to value the learning opportunity because it marked the first time that the Chongqing Church had offered systematic professional training in choral singing and piano conducting. Rev. Xu also highlighted the importance of the choir in church worship, noting that chorus, conducting, and piano are key elements in building a strong choir. Therefore, it was necessary to enhance their training and improve their skills.
Jin Yunzhuo, director of the Sacred Music Department at Hebei Bible School, and Chen Xin, a national senior piano instructor, were invited to instruct in this training. They combined theory and practice to teach the students about choral art, effective collaboration with conductors, conducting techniques, piano performance skills, and accompaniment training.
