As the Tomb Sweeping Festival falls today, Yancheng Church in Jiangsu Province held a collective memorial service on April 2 to observe the occasion.
According to the church, during the service, Rev. Zhu Yunxia delivered a sermon titled "Reflection on the Tomb Sweeping Festival," addressing three key themes: "Worship the True God, Not Idols," "True Filial Piety, Not False Filial Piety," and "Commemoration, Not Sacrifice." She urged attendees to worship the one true God with sincerity, honor their parents through genuine filial devotion, and remember the departed through acts of commemoration rather than ritual sacrifice.
Following the sermon, the church honored the memory of the deceased by displaying photos of departed believers on a large screen.
