From April 22 to 24, Sheyang County's TSPM in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, conducted a county-wide vocal training course, drawing nearly 150 participants from churches throughout the county.
According to the organizers, the training course featured Hua Ting, a mezzo-soprano soloist with the Art Ensemble of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and a student of renowned vocal educator Li Jinwei, along with Xu Yin, a graduate of the Jiangsu Art Institute, as the primary instructors.
Instructor Hua provided systematic instruction on fundamental vocal knowledge, scientific vocal techniques, methods for multi-part choral singing, and practical skills for worship and praise. Teacher Xu focused on basic music theory, offering detailed explanations on the nature of sound, the duration of notes and rests, mastery of rhythm and beat, and sight-reading of music scores. The training sessions were highly interactive, and many participants expressed that they had gained significant benefits.
During the closing ceremony, five student representatives expressed their gratitude and expectations for the training course, stating that the program had enhanced their professional skills and that they looked forward to more such learning opportunities in the future to better serve their churches.
