On May 13, Northeast Theological Seminary hosted Professor Tao Lei from Nanjing Medical University for a lecture titled "Reflections on Historical Experience," attended by 300 faculty and students.
According to CCC&TSPM, in his presentation, Professor Tao traced the origins and development of Marxist thought, combining it with the history of scholasticism while elaborating on the Marxist interpretation of history. He encouraged attendees to explore Marxism's historical experience through four key dimensions: the science of real people and their historical development laws, the history of human activity, the role and significance of language in human history, and the authentic meaning of historical materialism.
Professor Tao specializes in the reform and innovation of ideological and political theory courses in higher education, as well as research on theories and methods of ideological and political education. He has led several social science research projects and serves as a double-blind reviewer for the National Social Science Fund of China, in addition to acting as a professional evaluator for graduate theses accredited by China's Ministry of Education.
