On May 14, Guangdong Union Theological Seminary hosted an exhibition featuring photography, calligraphy, and paintings under the theme of "Light."

During the opening ceremony, Rev. Cai Bosheng, president of Guangdong Christian Council and dean of the seminary, emphasized that light is an attribute of God and that all creation yearns for it. On their journey of faith, believers continually seek God's light. He noted that the exhibition serves not only as an artistic display but also as a witness to faith.

Rev. Guo Yun, chairperson of Guangdong TSPM, also appreciated the theme, encouraging students to become bearers of light and to bring light and hope to every corner of the world.

Following the ceremony, leaders, guests, faculty, and students toured the exhibition and voted for their favorite pieces.

Guangdong Union Theological Seminary, located in Guangzhou, traces its roots back to the Canton Union Theological College founded in 1914. Originally established through the collaboration of multiple international mission societies and Chinese church conventions, the seminary was known for its ecumenical foundation. It later became affiliated with Lingnan University before closing in 1960. In 1986, the seminary was re-established under its current name to honor its rich legacy and to continue equipping church leaders in Guangdong. Today, it occupies a 10,000-square-meter campus and has trained over 1,000 church workers, with graduates serving in approximately 75% of the province's pastoral roles.
