From November 14 to 15, Union Church in Guangdong mobilized a team of 27 medical professionals and pastors to hold a free medical clinic in Fengwan Township, Qujiang District, Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province.
According to Guangdong CC&TSPM, the clinic offered services across multiple disciplines, including traditional Chinese medicine, orthopedics, dentistry, pediatrics, and psychological counseling. Medical staff provided professional care and emotional support to more than 100 residents, distributed commonly used medications, and donated a supply of medicines to the local health center.
The event is part of Union Church's annual initiative to support grassroots communities and has been held 15 times since 2010.
Union Church in Guangdong, completed in 2001, is located in Baiyun District, Guangzhou, on the same campus as Guangdong Union Theological Seminary. As a church directly under Guangdong Provincial CC&TSPM, it also functions as a teaching and internship center for the seminary. Legally registered and opened to the public in 2006, the church is currently led by Rev. Xu Jieping, executive vice chairperson of the Guangdong Provincial TSPM and president of Guangdong Union Theological Seminary. Every Sunday, the church holds morning, noon, Teochew, Cantonese, and evening services, with around one thousand attendees.
