On December 16, 2019, a team from a church in China's northern Shanxi province held a Christmas service in a local nursing home.

Members of the fellowship for the disabled and the seniors' fellowship of Yaodu District Church in Linfen paid a visit to Xinhe Homeland Nursing Home.

A pastor delivered the sermon entitled, "Gift". She preached that Jesus, who was incarnate to save the world, was the most precious gift given to us and we should be humble to accept the Savior as the king of our hearts.

Performances included choruses and songs. The home's residents also watched Chinese performances of allegro, an erhu (a Chinese two-stringed fiddle) solo, as well as Chinese fan dances.

They also joined in a love feast and ate special dishes of Shanxi cuisine including Hollowware dishes and Guokui, a kind of pancake made from flour. The elderly also received Scripture cards.
