On May 17, the Protestant Church in Liaozhong District of Shenyang City launched its first online communion service. The believers of the church received the sacrament in advance and participated in the online communion service together with the pastors who were officiating at the church.

Nearly 2,000 persons participated in this communion service. More than ten people went to the church in small groups to receive baptism.

The church in Liaozhong District of Shenyang City carried out this online communion in order to follow the government’s requirement of "two suspensions and one postponement" (suspend the opening of places of worship, suspend religious activities and postpone the opening of religious colleges and universities). It is hoped that through this form of ministry, brothers and sisters will be more closely united in Christ.
