Jiangxi Christians Visit Elderly People

Last Sunday believers paid a visit to a local nursing home in Yichun, China’s southern Jiangxi Province, after several months of lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Sister Wu Lianhua and other believers drove to the home in Yuanzhou District, where they gave residents watermelon. They even served as waiters for those who are unable to walk. Each of the elderly had their hair cut and expressed their thanks. Yi Jianzhong, 79, said that a senior citizen he received support according to the “Five Guarantees” that ensures financial aid for those who are unable to work and have no source of income, including the elderly, as well as the disabled and minors.
