With the approach of Spring Festival, Chen Lifu, the Senior Pastor of the Flower Lane Church in Fuzhou of Fujian Province, writes Chinese New Year couplets voluntarily.

In response to the needs of some believers, Pastor Chen joined hands with painter Jiang Yuan, the heir of King Teng's butterfly painting, to write the couplets. As a treasure of Chinese traditional culture, Spring Festival couplets are a unique art form of the Chinese language.

In the conference room of the church, the two "calligraphers" write day and night, but they can’t meet the need of the many who are in the congregation. Through the couplets on which the Biblical truth is written, many believers want to add luster to their Spring Festival celebrations. And during the period of COVID-19, when pubic gatherings are suspended, Pastor Chen can only pray and bless the believers silently.

Built in 1915, the megachurch has over 20,000 churchgoers, with 6500 persons attending the three services on Sunday.
